Sunny Spells, Showers, Strong W gusting 7
This blog is starting to look like one of those +1 tv channels. The only difference is, that here you get to see the same thing again a day later, rather than an hour later.
So let`s cut to the chase and say the best from the day, were : 8 Shoveler & the colour-ringed Coot.
I knew i wouldn`t/couldn`t stay positive for long.
Hi Dean, do some Pan-species Listing. I found and id'd a lifer today - Black Spleenwort! A common ferny thing but new to me. I have resolved NEVER to have another boring day... ;)
ReplyDeleteMuch the same here Dean. At least my garden feeders keep me amused trying to photograph various species :-)
ReplyDeleteIts that time of year...it always sems to fall a bit flat in January.
ReplyDeleteYou need to have an away day birding somewhere different...Thats the way I cope with the Jan blues mate
Stewart : If you remember, you`ve mentioned that to me before. I`ve all on keeping lep & odanata lists, never mind the full works.
ReplyDeleteI`ll give it some more thought, thanks.
Warren : Yeah, unlike mine, your garden feeders are buzzing with activity ;-)
Jason : If i did an away day, it`d have to be on foot. And i can`t be doing with the Old Moor. Too many posers with expensive optics and not a clue on what they`re doing.
Hello Dean, I forgot about that. See what happens to your memory at my age! I wonder if I forget what I've already seen so that would be even easier to get lifers...
ReplyDeleteStewart : You`re not on your own. My long term memory is better than my short term one.
