Nearly didn`t bother with Cortonwood, what with the weather. But bother i did and was rewarded with my first Gadwall of the year ;
Apart from the above, it was a case of the usual highlights ;
Grey Heron 1, Shoveler 1 (drk), Pochard 1, Tufted Duck 8, Goosander 4 (2 drk).
It was good to see the colour-ringed Coot was still present and despite getting it to come to bread & seed, it just wouldn`t stay still long enough to allow me to read the alloy ring. Now if it had performed like these two, i might have had a chance ;
Talking of chance`s. I`ve not heard from that job i applied for, on Monday. And with it being taken off the listings, it looks like i`m not going to........now.
Birds : January / Year - 64
Keep on 'keeping on' Dean, something will come along soon - and that applies to both jobs and birds!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Steve, so don't give up. You got some good posers there!
ReplyDeleteSteve/Toffeeapple : Thanks both. I`m not into quitting, yet.
ReplyDeleteLooks like ive got more chance of getting a Tuftie than you have a Job Dean, and thats slim! Dont give up though mate :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you added another bird to the list Dean, I sent off a job application on Monday, no news here yet either, hopefully we'll both here something soon :-)
ReplyDeleteWarren : I reckon you`re right, there. As for giving up. I`m already half way there.
ReplyDeleteAlan : Cheers, and good luck with your job-hunting.
